In 1804, Theophilus Little Sr., Revolutionary War Veteran and Captain, purchased 4500 acres (in what is now Eagles Mere) from Joseph Priestly Jr. As the original purchase was determined to be short 400 acres, this additional property (now our farm) was sold in 1811 to Little for the token amount of five shillings.
